Free Corporate Resolutions

Free Corporate Resoutions

Free Corporate Resolutions

Free always gets my attention, however, when it refers to Corporate Resolutions I can’t help but take notice. I don’t think the free part is even the biggest draw. Time is always the big enemy and having resolutions already prepared saves so much time and makes it so easy to handle corporate maintnance.

Do you want Corporate Resolutions for free? EZonlineFiling.com just added about 40 to the website. All you have to do is cut and paste them into your own document. You may want to change the format a bit, but I don’t think this could be much easier. When I saw them, I thought I should share the news!

LLC – Do You Know What It Means?

LLC or Business Incorporation

What is an LLC, anyway?

Occasionally, I run across something that I simply enjoy. For those of you so jaded by the business world that the meaning of the word is lost, here is what Webster’s says…

Enjoy: to take pleasure or satisfaction in

What is there to enjoy, you ask? How about this…we’ve just added a new writer to our team. I know, that doesn’t really excite anyone. The enjoyment, however, comes from who the writer is and what she reminds me of, so let me tell you about her and why her writing is interesting.

Her name is Lindsey Rife and she knows nothing about business.

That’s right…Nothing! In fact, she is just a few days out of High School. Over the next few years, she gets to do what most of us would love to have a second shot at. No, not the college parties (although that sounds pretty good, too). I’m talking about choosing a career. From scratch. With youth on her side and no preconceptions. If you could do it over again, what would you do? Would you join the corporate workforce or would you chase a dream and start your own company? Why not start a Non-Profit Corporation and try to make a difference in the world?

Some of us take years to decide that the corporate life isn’t for us. When we do, we come right back to where Lindsay is. We ask ourselves the same questions that she is asking, like what is an LLC, anyway? What’s the difference between forming a limited liability company and filing a business incorporation? Which one is right for my business? The fact that she is asking these questions now, rather than when she is 40, is exactly what makes her so interesting.

Most of our customers don’t really know what an LLC is. In fact, I hear customers almost everyday describe it as a limited liability corporation. As adults, we bring our preconceived ideas into business and we often do so to our detriment. Young people change the world with every new generation. Any idea how old Bill Gates or Steve Jobs were when they started their companies? How about the founders of Facebook, YouTube or Word Press? How about this…the average age of the founders of these three companies is 25! They accomplished things I would have told you were impossible or ridiculous, which only shows you that experience can close your mind to opportunity and youth, truly, has no understanding of limits.

If you would like to follow a fresh perspective, start with Lindsay’s first article. It’s titled What Exactly is an LLC? and you might be suprised to learn that you have more in common with her than you think!

7 Steps to Incorporation Filing: Taking the Next Step!

7 Steps to Incorporation Filing

In a follow up to our article on choosing between an LLC and a corporation, Blair Woods thought it would be helpful to review some of the important steps you need to consider once you’ve decided on an incorporation filing.

Her article, “7 Steps to Incorporation Filing” focuses on some of the necessary steps you will take in forming a corporation. Some of these steps are handled by us if you choose to use our incorporation services, but many will still be your responsibility so it’s definitely a worthwhile read.

Running a corporation is involved. I might recommend reading this article as a starting point and preparing a plan for how you will complete the requirements the state will have. You should also consider spending some time reviewing the materials in our Learning Center. There you can review a business start up checklist, familiarize yourself with incorporation terminology that may be unfamiliar, learn about financing options, and soon, you will even be able to download a business plan template.

It’s all part of our effort to make starting and running your company easier than ever before. Do you need help with something you don’t see? Send us an email. We would love the feedback and if there is an existing need that we don’t cover, we can make plans to add it.

Incorporation Filing or Forming an LLC: Which Should You Choose?

Should you choose a corporation or LLC for your business?

Choosing a Business Structure: Incorporation Filing or LLC Filing?

Is an incorporation filing the right choice or should I be considering forming an LLC? Which one is right for my business? Honestly, if I had a nickel for every time I’ve been asked this question…well, you know. We do get this question often, so we regularly add new content to our website trying to answer this and similar questions in every way they are asked.

Our most recent addition, is entitled Incorporation 101, however, after reading it I think it goes well beyond a 101 version of this topic. It’s actually a pretty detailed discussion of the differences between an LLC, a corporation and remaining a sole proprietor. I think if you read this it should help you make a better decision relative to the needs of your business. Additionally, it discusses options to using our incorporation service. How’s that for open communication? We really want what’s best for you and if we can help you decide between an incorporation filing and LLC filing, we are happy. If you decide that our incorporation service can help you with the filing, we are even happier. Ultimately, we want you to know that we are here for you, with honest and open intentions. Good luck with your new business!
